PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS
Buyers of aircraft find pre purchase inspections an important aspect of buying an aircraft. A professional pre purchase inspection can save buyers of aircraft thousands of dollars by determining the serviceability and overall condition of the aircraft they wish to acquire. It is not uncommon for aircraft under contract to be found with defective equipment or not in compliance with an airworthiness directive or missing logbooks. Once the aircraft transaction is closed and the buyer takes possession of the aircraft, it can be extremely difficult to force the previous owner to absorb the cost of repairs or agree to FAA compliance of outstanding issues that should have been performed before the sale.
